What is this about?
I'm a freelance web developer with 10-odd years of experience, living in Bucharest, Romania. I build websites, especially "smart" websites, the kind that do more than just give the visitor something to read (shopping carts, blogs, social networking, CMS). I also build business websites, convert legacy and outdated solutions and do hosting, SEO, domain name and design consulting.

What do you use?
On the server-side, I mainly use "LAMP", which means PHP and MySQL on Apache, under Linux. I can also recommend PostgreSQL as an alternative database and I can make all these work under Windows or other operating systems. On the browser-side I am well acquainted with CSS, XHTML and JavaScript and the expected bells and whistles (AJAX, web services, the Web 2.0 experience and technologies).

How do you work?
I keep track of my projects using source control and project management tools. I follow standards and will make sure your websites can be accessed and used properly across a range of browsers. My code is clean, well organized and fully documented. I make efforts to ensure that the solution you receive is secure and fast. I make use of established frameworks when appropriate for your project.
